Day Three Articles

Coverings 2010 opening highlights excellence in tile and stone

Two new initiatives honoring excellence in tile and stone launched at Coverings 2010. For “Coverings Select,” sponsored by Contract magazine, a panel of judges was engaged to identify the best new products introduced to the U.S. and international markets since the close of Coverings 2009 in a variety of categories. The second, “PROJECT: Green” was all about bringing attention—and recognition—to imaginative and innovative use of tile and stone materials in sustainability-driven projects.

Winners of Ceramic Tiles of Italy Design Competition announced

Confindustria Ceramica, the Association of Italian Ceramics and the Italian Trade Commission received the highest number of top quality submissions in the competition’s 17-year history. The jury was so impressed by the entries that they awarded two prizes in each category: residential, commercial/hospitality and institutional.
