NTCA training director Gerald Sloan will present the NTCA Workshop as part of the installation demos on the TCNA stage at Coverings.


This year, the installation demonstrations presented by the National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA) at Coverings will be presented in a NTCA Workshop Program format. This traveling educational program has enriched the training of tile installers and contractors for more than 30 years with information relating to the development of new standards and the demonstration of proper techniques for the successful installation of ceramic tile.

During Coverings 2009, the NTCA Workshop Program will be offered free on the Tile Council of North America’s live demonstration stage. The NTCA Workshop Program will be broken into four parts to cover each day of the show, with the following schedule, from 11:15 a.m. to noon each day:

  • Tuesday, April 21: Movement Accommodation
  • Wednesday, April 22: Water Management
  • Thursday, April 23: Appropriate Materials Selection
  • Friday, April 24: Five Common Mistakes Made Before the First Tile is Installed
