Innovacion showcased at the Palau de la Musica in Valencia, Spain |

Azulejera Alcorense featured Acropolis, which replicates
Greek marble in three colors with a black compliment; Luxor, an 8” x 12” and
12” x 12” floor tile that offers the look of a Turkish travertine marble in a
matte finish; and Delta with its classic marble look captured.
Ceramica Elias offered the Provenca
Series which appears as an aged, worn product with a rustic appearance.
Emac Complementos launched new
products this year —Slim Range, Anti-Slip Solutions and decorative profiles —
created by international fashion designer Francis Montesinos. These products
feature delicate designs, whimsical patterns, and Swarovski crystal embellishments.
In addition to its SlimmKer
Collection, Inalco showed the Sensations Collection, the result of a joint
venture between Inalco and architecture studio Bunch, S.L. headed by Sara de la
Mata. This collection offers an alternative vision of environmental materials
in their purest state, as seen in Art Clay, Concrete and Wood series.
Keraben’s newest introduction is the
Urban Collection, a compact and resilient porcelain material that’s highly
technical with strong aesthetic value. The technical properties make it highly
resistant to scratches, heavy wear and tear and stress. With 80% recycled
material recovered during the production process for water, clay, combustible
energy and raw materials, Urban also offers applications for sustainable
architecture, ventilated façades and elevated technical floors.
Natucer earned the Alfa De Plato
Award for its new architectural collection LifeArq, an innovative wall solution
for architecture and urban environments. A study of light and space resulted in
four classes of ceramic, including Bamboo, Ivy, Scale and Channel.
New products from the Porcelanosa
Group include: Qatar, inspired by desert sand patterns in a 12” x 35” wall tile
format; London, which emulates a sense of movement with a sonic wave pattern,
heightened by the soft sheen of a pearlescent glaze; Bardiglio, a large format
polished porcelain floor tile; and Trento, with its alternative take on mosaics
using irregular shapes and two-toned color.
Roca Ceramica displayed new products
that offer a wide range of design, including: TopGreen, an ecological
collection that includes two series with 80% recycled content certified by
third-party certification agency Bureau Veritas; Rock & Rock, a double-press,
through-body porcelain collection, including the large format 24¨x48¨ sizes;
Color Collection, a large selection of colors for glazed ceramic tiles; Dot
Mounted, a collection of 2” x 2” dot-mounted mosaics of glazed porcelain;
Avila, a through-body porcelain series in a range of beige, grey and brown
colors; Orion, a double-load rectified porcelain; and Rock Art, Roca’s complete
range of natural stone mosaics.
TAU Group’s subsidiary Porcelanatto,
showed the results of its partnership with international designer Karim Rashid
in NO-Stalgia. The four collections are created in a 23.6” x 23.6” format and
four colors each. Using sinuously geometric forms and intricate lines to create
optical effects, they showcase a pioneering design concept in the international
ceramic sector.
Trencadis Innovacion specializes in
the production of trencadis, Mediterranean style mosaics formed from irregular
shaped fragments of ceramic tile, porcelain or natural stones. This ornamental
finish comes in mesh-mounted panels with a patented border to achieve a
seamless appearance.
